JAN - FEB 2026 | Engaging with the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) Workshop

Structured in three two-hour sessions over four weeks, this in-person workshop series will follow a flipped format (participants will read/prepare work in advance) and explore SoTL research questions, study designs, and methods of data collection and analysis. The workshop, open to faculty and the U of A community, aims to support SoTL project design at our institution, particularly through proposals for CUES Distinguished Fellowships and the CUES Spanning Boundaries Challenge.

This hybrid event will provide information about the 2026 CUES Spanning Boundaries Challenge on Land, Heritage, and Place Attunement across disciplines.

Presenters will describe and answer questions about the competition, and discuss consensus guidance that emerged from the 2025 CUES MECha Workshop on Advancing the Scholarship of Culturally Responsive Teaching and Learning.
